Starting post-doctoral position at ULB
I am officially starting my postdoctoral position in the Laboratory of Stem Cells and Cancer, led by Prof. Cédric Blanpain, at the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
During my postdoctoral training, I will investigate how cell competition shapes the earliest steps of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma initiation. My project will combine single-cell multi-omics, spatial transcriptomics, gene regulatory network inference, and cell–cell communication analysis to understand how oncogene-mutant epidermal clones interact with neighbouring wild-type cells and their microenvironment. I will particularly focus on identifying winner and loser cell states, interface-specific signalling mechanisms, and microenvironmental or sex-dependent cues that regulate clonal fitness during early tumour development.
